Frequently Asked Question's
What is the coating removal process?
The coating is removed using a two stage, mechanical process.

Stage 1: The is rotated around a hardened cutting blade to remove the outer layer.
Stage 2: A high-speed steel brush brings the exterior coating to a finished product.
Is it possible to strip pipe in the Winter?
Yes. Lower temperatures often benefit the process. The elastic nature of most exterior coatings means lower temperatures reduce adhesion and make for an easier, more complete removal.
Can we store our pipe at your facility?
Yes. We accommodate both short and long-term storage.
After completion, will there be any residual coating left on the pipe?
Variables such as the weld seam and geometry contribute the finished product. We will assess this with you on a project by project basis to ensure the outcome aligns with your requirement.
We plan to galvanize the pipe. Do we need to have the pipe sandblasted prior?
We recommend that sandblasting is conducted prior to galvanizing to ensure no embedded coating interfere's with the galvanizing process.
Is there a minimum order requirement?
No. We are happy to accommodate projects of any size.
